Nathan Grawe is the Ada M. Harrison Distinguished Teaching Professor of the Social Sciences at Carleton College where he has taught since 1999. His work in labor economics explores family background and its influence on choices to acquire higher education. His most recent work, Demographics and the Demand for Higher Education, explores the decades-long patterns in fertility, migration and immigration, along with the influences of the Great Recession and plummeting child-bearing demographics. Patterns that will continue to impact higher education enrollments and subsequent changes in community demographics. This event is open to partnership members and non-members alike.
